TESTING
REMEDIAL ACTION IF THE VALVE FAILS SET POINT TEST
TRIPS TOO LOW

| Possible Cause: |
Remedy: |
| Improper test weight. |
Check to see that the test weight has the same set point pressure stamped on it that the valve is set for. |
| Improper set weights. |
Check to see that the weights have the weight stamped on them and that is required according to the ID tag on the valve. |
TRIPS TOO HIGH

Remedy: |
| Improper test weight. |
|
|
|
|
Check to see that the test weight has the same set point pressure stamped on it that the valve is set for. |
| Improper set weights installed in valve. |
|
|
|
|
Check to see that the weights have the weight stamped on them that is required according to the ID tag on the valve. |
| Contamination or buildup on Operator. |
|
|
|
|
Clean as described in Maintenance Section. |
| Contamination or product buildup. |
|
|
|
|
Replace Valve Seal as described in Maintenance Section. |
| Mechanical damage to Operator. |
|
|
|
|
Replace Operator. |
| Mechanical damage to axle or bearings. |
|
|
|
|
Replace axle and bearings. |
